She did her graduation from Delhi University and was keen in becoming a Fashion Designer. Her career took a flashy turn when she appeared on the reality TV show "Mtv Splitsvilla 3". Her participation in the reality show offered her numerous proposals to act in daily soaps, but a planned Niharika rejected them all and decided to complete her studies.

Later on, she headed towards Mumbai. The dazzling Punjabi girl soon appeared on “The Buddy Project” on Channel V. Her carrer kickstarted soon after she appeared in Jugni Furr, a video made by Jasmeet in in which Niharika is seen as a Punjabi girl with high spirits.

This video was a big hit and paved her way in the movies.
