    Early life and education

    Zeinal Bava was born in Lourenço Marques, Portuguese Mozambique to a family of Indian ancestry.

    In 1975, after the events of the Carnation Revolution in Lisbon and the independence of Portuguese Mozambique as the People's Republic of Mozambique, Zeinal Bava and his family moved to Lisbon.
