    Liam James Payne (29 August 1993 – 16 October 2024) was an English singer and songwriter. He became famous as a member of the band One Direction. In 2016, Payne signed a recording deal with Capitol Records as a solo artist,[2] and with Republic Records in the United States.[3]

    After One Direction's hiatus, Payne signed a recording deal with Republic Records in North America.[4] In May 2017, Payne released "Strip That Down" as the lead single from his debut album.
