Tony Hsieh (born December 12, 1973) is an American internet entrepreneur and venture capitalist.
Born in Illinois to Taiwanese immigrants, he grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. In 1995, he graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
Early Entrepreneurial Pursuits
As a Harvard student, Hsieh opened the Quincy House Grille, a coffee shop on the ground floor of his dormitory.
He later founded LinkExchange, a banner exchange network, and co-founded Venture Frogs, a venture capital firm with Alfred Lin.
