Dotted through the telecommunications, marketing and finance companies involved in these deals are a range of Tony Hakim's relatives by blood or marriage.
Tony Hakim pioneered the telephony bundling business model at National Telecoms Group (NTG).
His brother, Mick or Bechara Hakim, was a senior manager at the company.
Among the directors was George Tawaf, an old friend of Tony's who was to become his brother-in-law.
NTG became a broken business in 2003 after key banks withdrew lines of credit.
